The Naturosa Catania Marathon is held on 13 December 2026 on a flat circuit that follows the Sicilian coastline. Runners start on Viale Kennedy at the height of Lido Verde and head along the sea in the direction of Syracuse before turning back, completing one lap for the 10.5 km, two laps for the half marathon and four laps for the marathon. Underfoot is flat asphalt on the seafront roads, with the bulk of Mount Etna on one side and the glittering sea on the other. The day brings together three distances for different levels, with chip timing, a finisher medal, a photo service, a race pack and refreshment points along the way.

Yes. Alongside the marathon and the half marathon there is a 10.5 km distance aimed at amateur runners and people who enjoy outdoor sport, and it covers a single lap of the circuit.
It is one lap for the 10.5 km, two laps for the half marathon and four laps for the marathon, all on the same coastal circuit.
Separate regulations for the 10.5 km, the half marathon and the marathon are published on the official event website, together with the privacy policy in Italian and English.
December in Catania is usually mild, often between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius, though it can be breezy on the seafront, so layers and a windproof top are sensible.
The circuit is lapped and runs along the coast, so supporters on the promenade can see runners pass several times without moving.
