The Cotswold Ultra course starts from Kemble Station and finishes at the Travelodge Oxford, Abingdon Road along the Thames Path. After a short trek from Kemble Station, along the Thames Path to the source, competitors retrace their steps back towards the start then continue on The Thames Path through Somerford Keynes and on towards Cricklade. From Castle Eaton village the route strays from the river until Black ford Farm where it re-joins the Thames briefly before again departing over meadows until meeting again just before Lechlade.
