The event takes over Cascais Bay for a full weekend in February, with the children's race opening proceedings on the Saturday and the half marathon, 10K and 5K following on the Sunday. Runners set off from and return to the bay itself, with the Atlantic coastline and the town's seafront thoroughfares framing the route. The 2027 edition is the eleventh running of the race, staged by HMS Sports together with the Municipality of Cascais and CCD Cascais, and powered by Montepio Associação Mutualista.

Other questions
The 2027 edition runs across the weekend of 6 and 7 February 2027, with the children's race on Saturday and the adult races on Sunday.
The route is a road course that begins and ends in the Cascais Bay area, running through the town and along its Atlantic seafront setting. It is a coastal town course rather than a trail route.
Yes. Because the start and finish sit together at Cascais Bay, friends and family can watch the start, wander the seafront and town centre, and still be back in place for the finishes.
The event is held in February on the Atlantic coast, so wind and rain are possible. Any weather-related changes to the schedule are communicated by the organiser; the full weather and cancellation terms are set out in the entry conditions.
The course is a road route on Portugal's coast with the start and finish in the same place, which makes logistics simple for a first attempt at the distance. Training should still build towards 21.098 km before race weekend.
