The Monte Bisbino Trail starts and finishes at Piazza Risorgimento, beside the small harbour of Cernobbio. Arrive early to collect your bib, pass any mandatory kit check, and attend the pre-race briefing. The course climbs to the summit of Monte Bisbino at 1325 metres, and the race is self-supported, so you must carry your own water, food, and required equipment. The finish area will be back at the same piazza.
For the shorter 13 km route, which is described as more technical, choose aggressive trail shoes with excellent grip and protection for rocky, steep terrain. For the longer 26 km route, which is gentler but still mountainous, prioritise comfort, cushioning, and reliable traction over maximum aggressiveness. Make sure your shoes are broken in before race day, and consider carrying a light pair of gloves if the summit is cold or windy.
Cernobbio is on the shore of Lake Como and can be reached by boat, with a stop at Cernobbio, or by road from Como. The nearest major airports are Milan Malpensa (MXP) and Milan Linate (LIN); from there, take a train or bus to Como, then a local bus, taxi, or boat to Cernobbio. If you are staying in Como, the boat is a scenic and convenient option on race morning. Book accommodation early, as April is a popular time in the Lake Como area.
