Overview

The Monster Dash 5K is an evening Halloween race that starts and finishes at or near the Navarre Soccer Complex in Navarre, Florida. Participants run or walk a 3.1-mile course guided by course markings, directional signage and volunteer marshals, and Halloween costumes are encouraged for everyone taking part. After the finish line the evening continues with a Trunk or Treat featuring up to 75 decorated vehicles, candy, music, food and family activities, along with a Best Costume Contest and a Best Decorated Car/Trunk Contest. The first 100 registered runners receive an official event T-shirt, and all proceeds support the Navarre Youth Sports Association and its youth sports programmes and facilities.

Terrain

A 5K (3.1-mile) course beginning and ending at or near the Navarre Soccer Complex, designed to be welcoming to runners and walkers of a variety of experience levels.

Route

The course starts and finishes at or near the Navarre Soccer Complex. Course markings, directional signage and volunteers plus course marshals guide participants along the route. A final course map and any race-specific instructions are provided to registered participants as the event approaches. Participants must stay on the designated course and follow the instructions of race officials, volunteers, law enforcement and course marshals at all times.

Race Day

Saturday, October 24, 2026: 16:00 runner check-in and race-day registration opens; 16:45 runners begin lining up near the start area; 16:50 welcome, announcements and course/safety briefing; 17:00 Monster Dash 5K start; following the 5K the Trunk or Treat opens for runners, families and the community; following the race, race awards and the Best Costume Contest; in the evening the Best Decorated Car/Trunk Contest plus candy, food, music and family activities. Participants should arrive 45 to 60 minutes before the 17:00 start.

ParkingParking is available at and around the Navarre Soccer Complex. Follow event signs and the instructions of parking volunteers when entering the complex. Some parking areas may be reserved for Trunk or Treat vehicles, event staff, vendors, emergency vehicles and volunteers. Because up to 75 decorated vehicles may take part in Trunk or Treat, parking areas and traffic patterns may differ from a normal day at the complex. Arrive early and allow extra time for parking and walking to the registration and start area. Do not park in fire lanes, along emergency access routes, or in areas marked as closed or reserved.
