The Milla Urbana de Puerto Lumbreras is a one-mile road race run through the streets of Puerto Lumbreras in the Region of Murcia on Saturday 17 October 2026. The programme centres on the classic urban mile, open to athletes from sub-14 age groups right through to master categories, and it is joined by separate races for sub-12, sub-10 and sub-8 children. Racing takes place entirely on paved town streets over a short, spectator-friendly circuit, so families and friends can watch the runners pass by more than once. The morning is built around the young runners as much as the adults, with each age group given its own start. Details are published by the organisation on the event website, and entrants should check there for the most recent information before travelling.

Other questions
The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 17 October 2026 in Puerto Lumbreras, in the Region of Murcia, Spain.
No. An urban mile is an open, mass-participation race and there is no qualifying standard. Runners simply enter the category that matches their age.
The race takes place on the streets of Puerto Lumbreras town centre. The route is closed to traffic and marshalled, which makes it easy for spectators to watch the runners at several points.
Yes. Because the course loops through the town centre, spectators can see the runners more than once without walking far, which makes it a good event for families.
