The Midzomermarathon Apeldoorn is a road running festival staged in the city of Apeldoorn and the countryside around it in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Entrants pick from five distances, a full 42.2 km marathon, a 28.3 km long course, a 21.1 km half marathon, a 14 km and a 7.5 km race, and every one of them is run on paved roads. It is the only road marathon organised in the Apeldoorn area, so the city has a marathon of its own each mid-July. The event is put together in cooperation with Run2Day Apeldoorn and Titus running sport, and it returns each year after a first edition that drew so much enthusiasm that an annual fixture became inevitable.
