Medieval Trail Race is a mountain running event held in the Zărand Mountains, Arad County, under the slogan "Conquer the fortresses". The competition connects mountain running with the historical heritage of the area, through routes that feature landmarks such as Șoimoș Fortress, Șiria Fortress, Căsoaia, Feredeu Monastery, and Feredeu Hermitage.
