The Mattoni Half Marathon České Budějovice is an evening road race through the historic centre of a South Bohemian city, and the 2027 edition is the fifteenth time it has been held. The half marathon, the half marathon relay and the 2Run 10 + 11 km pair relay all set off at 19:00 from Přemysl Otakar II Square, described by RunCzech as the second-largest square in the Czech Republic. Earlier in the afternoon the programme opens with the Vodafone 5K Run at 15:30, followed by the dm family mile at 17:00 and three dm bambini dashes over 100 m, 150 m and 200 m from 17:45. Everything is run on asphalt through the streets of the city centre, so crowds can follow the race on foot from square to square. The course map currently shown is the 2026 version, as the 2027 map has not yet been published.
