The race is based in Marlborough in Wiltshire, South West England, and the routes cross the North Wessex Downs on tracks and footpaths through rolling countryside.
Every finisher of either distance receives an MDC souvenir mug handmade by White Horse Pottery.
The 33 mile route has roughly 3,000 feet of elevation gain and the 20 mile route has roughly 1,500 feet, so both reward steady pacing and some hill practice in training.
