Marató Vies Verdes Girona is a running event staged in Platja d'Aro on the Costa Brava, with four distances on offer on the same Sunday in late April: a full marathon, a 30 km, a half marathon and a 10 km. Runners of very different levels therefore share one start area and one race morning, from first-time 10 km participants up to marathoners. The race takes its name from Catalonia's Vies Verdes, the greenway paths that thread through the region.
