Other questions
Yes. The whole programme runs on a Japan Association of Athletics Federations certified 5 km loop, which is the reason the organiser presents it as a chance to record an accurate time.
Reception is at the Undo Hiroba (Sports Plaza) inside Showa Memorial Park, 3173 Midoricho, Tachikawa. It runs 09:30 to 10:10 for the parent and child pairs, 09:30 to 10:30 for the 30 km and half marathon, and 10:40 to 11:30 for the 10 km and 5 km.
The 30 km and half marathon are open to runners aged 18 and over and are not open to high school students, the 10 km is open from high school age, the 5 km from junior high school age, and the 1 km pair races are for one adult with a child in elementary school or younger. Both JAAF registered and general runners take part.
The park loop is 5 km, so the 5 km is one lap, the 10 km two, the half marathon four laps plus a short run to the finish and the 30 km six laps.
Pacemakers are provided for the 30 km, for the half marathon, or for both, as part of the participant services.
