The Marathon du Grésivaudan begins on the landing strip of the Versoud aerodrome before swinging out along the banks of the Isère. Every distance on the programme runs as a loop with no meaningful elevation change, so the ground underfoot stays fast and predictable, on road and riverside paths. Race day brings together a marathon, a half marathon (or 20 km), a single 13 km loop and a colour run, in a deliberately small-scale, convivial atmosphere where fancy dress is welcomed. Roughly 450 runners finished across all distances at the most recent edition, with several aid stations, food and shade at the finish.
