No. Entry is open to affiliated and unaffiliated runners, but unaffiliated entrants pay a slightly higher fee. For the 9 Mile it is £22 affiliated and £24 unaffiliated; for the 5 Mile it is £20 affiliated and £22 or £23 unaffiliated.
Race HQ at Broad Hinton Village Hall hosts registration, toilets, a bag drop and refreshments including homemade cakes. Water stations are positioned on the course.

The event is licensed by the TRA and follows UK Athletics rules.
