Lumia Half Marathon is a road half marathon that starts and finishes in Avola, on the south-eastern coast of Sicily. The route runs through the town's distinctive hexagonal historic centre, out along lanes lined with lemon groves, and onto the seafront promenade with its wide views over the Ionian Sea. Chip timing and refreshment points along the course are part of the race day set up. The event is built around sport, local culture and the Mediterranean landscape, and the 2026 edition is scheduled for 8 November, provisionally.
