Overview

The London MoRun brings runners of all ages and abilities to Richmond for a morning of chip-timed racing in aid of Movember. Every distance starts and finishes at Sheen Gate, with the 5K covered in a single lap, the 10K in two and the half marathon in four full laps plus an extra section to reach the distance. The route follows mainly tarmac paths and is hilly in places, and dogs, buggies and wheelchair users are all welcome, with runners asked to keep left. Fancy dress is a big part of the day, with spot prizes for the best mo, best dressed and fastest MoBro and MoSista, and a 1.5k Mini Mo gives children their own fully chipped race.

Race Day

Race packs are collected at registration on the day of the event. Runners cannot have their pack collected by someone else. The half marathon sets off at 09:30, the 5K and 10K at 10:00 and the 1.5k Mini Mo at 11:30.

AccessibilityThe route is mainly tarmac paths and is suitable for wheelchair users. It is also generally suitable for buggies and dogs, though some venues can be a mix of path, trail and grass, so runners are asked to check the course.

Before you enter

RefundsUp to 14 days before the event you can cancel and receive a 60% refund on your entry fees. After this point no refunds are offered. Registrations made through the listing platform can be fully refunded within 24 hours of registering if you change your mind.

Minimum ageYes. The 1.5k Mini MoRun is a fully race chipped event for children, starting at 11:30. Mini MoRunners receive an awesome Mini Mo medal, chip timing, a MoRunning headband, drinks and sweets, and a Winning Mo Medal for the first Mini Mo boy and girl.

DogsYes, this is typically ok for most locations, however please check the run route course as some locations can be a mix of path, trail and grass so not always suitable for running with a buggy. Also please try and stay to the left as much as possible to give room for other runners.

HeadphonesYes we do allow this, but please note it is your responsibility to make sure you can hear what's going on around you when running, including marshals and the general public. Please keep the volume at a level whereby you can hear any important announcements that may be made.

Time limitWe typically have a cut off time of 2 hours to complete the 5k/10k races from when the event starts, and 3 hours for half marathons. Walking part of a 5k event is typically fine but the 10k races are mostly for running, with a bit of walking or jogging if necessary. If doing a virtual run you have the luxury of completing your event anytime, anywhere and for however long throughout the given event period.
