The Lombfutás Trail sends runners into the forest above Kazincbarcika on a mid-October Sunday, when the leaves are turning and the trails are at their most colourful. The programme is built around three runners' distances of 7 km, 16 km and 35 km, joined by a 7 km walking route and a 7 km canicross race, so first-time trail runners and seasoned hill runners share the same race centre. Junior races for children aged 4 to 18 open the day on an easy meadow course behind the Vízi Komplexum. The ground underfoot mixes forest path, meadow and forest road, with steeper climbs and long descents on the longer courses. The race centre at the Vízi Komplexum leisure complex handles the start, changing rooms, bag storage and the finish-line refreshments.

The race centre is at the Vízi Komplexum in Kazincbarcika, Takács István sétány 1. Changing rooms, toilets and bag storage are available there for participants.
