The course follows the Queen Charlotte Track from Anakiwa to Lochmara Bay, a point-to-point trail that twists and rolls through native beech forest above the bays of the Marlborough Sounds. Runners and walkers share the route, passing Bellbirds and dropping into bay after bay before reaching the finish at Lochmara Lodge. A boat carries entrants from Picton to the start at Anakiwa and returns them to Picton once the finish line celebrations are done. The whole event is capped at 200 participants, which keeps the day small and unhurried.

Yes. The event is open to both runners and walkers, and the same 22K route along the Queen Charlotte Track is used by everyone.
The event is limited to 200 runners and walkers, which keeps it deliberately small and boutique.
Yes. A waitlist is available through the event website entry page, and places are offered as they become free.
Most entrants base themselves in Picton, since that is where the boat to the start departs and returns. Lochmara Lodge at the finish also offers accommodation if you would like to stay on the bay.
