Overview

The timed race of the day, with an official time recorded for every finisher. It is the longest distance on offer at the Lions Paris 9 Run.

The practical side

Terrain

A real challenge for experienced runners: a demanding urban course with technical climbs and good relaunches.

Route

For this edition, a single 10 km loop covering the varied neighbourhoods of the 9th and its many faces: Opéra, La Fayette, Trinité, Pigalle, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, Saint Georges…

Getting There

Paris is served by an extensive metro, RER and bus network; the event sits in the city so public transport is the simplest way to reach the start.

Race Day

Sunday 21 March 2027: the 10 km, the 5 km discovery run and the family run are all staged on the same morning in Paris.

Good to know

What you get

Chip timingYes. The 10 km is the timed race of the day, so finishers receive an official time. The shorter runs are run in a more relaxed spirit.

ResultsTimes from the timed 10 km are published after the race. The organiser posts the results link on their website in the days following the event.

On the day

Public transportParis is easy to reach by metro, RER, bus and mainline train, and the city centre location means public transport is usually simpler than driving. Allow extra time on race morning for crowds and road closures.

Water on courseRefreshment points on a 5 km or 10 km city course are usually limited to one or two locations. The organiser confirms this in the race information, and carrying your own bottle is a good habit in any case.

Before you enter

Minimum ageThe family run is designed for parents and children to take part together. The 5 km and 10 km are also open to younger runners, though a parent or guardian should confirm any age limits with the organiser before entering.

Collecting your numberEither a validated PPS (from 2026 the PPS is valid for 1 year and costs €5/year) or a validated medical certificate dated less than one year before the race date confirming there is no contraindication to sport. You must also bring a copy of your ID (or that of the person whose bib you are collecting). If your medical certificate or PPS has already been validated, you do not need to bring it to bib collection.
