Runners come together in Cruas, in the Ardèche department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, on a Saturday in January for a winter cross country meeting. The programme is built around age-graded formats: a 17 km race open to cadets, juniors and adults (Format S) and an 8 km race for benjamins, minimes and open entries (Format Xs). The youngest competitors, from 6 to 11 years old, have their own short races on the same day. The ground underfoot is cross country terrain rather than road, and the organiser publishes the latest course and schedule details on the event's SportsNconnect page.
