The relay distance is 9 kilometres in total, made up of three 3 kilometre legs.
There are two relay formats. The Relais Trio splits the 9 kilometres across three runners, while the Relais Duo is designed for a pair covering the three legs between them. Each format therefore works out at the same overall 9 kilometre distance.
The start and finish are in Soignies in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. The exact assembly point and the changeover zone are confirmed by the organiser closer to the event, so check the registration page before travelling.
Spectators are welcome. On a 3 kilometre loop they can see their runners several times from a single spot, and the changeover area tends to be the busiest and most entertaining place to stand.
