The Legends Trail covers 350 km non-stop through the Belgian Ardennes, run in the depths of winter on a course that is redrawn from scratch every year. The ground underfoot is Ardennes forest trail, heavy with mud and stacked with relentless climbs, and the weather can throw cold, rain, wind and snow at the field across four days and nights. A minimum pace of 4 km/h keeps the race moving, so finishers are out for around 87 hours. The event is unsupported, which means only Legends Trails volunteers and fellow participants may offer a runner assistance. Race HQ and basecamp is College St. Roch in Bernardfagne, the central hub where the legendary community of runners and volunteers gathers.

It is the flagship event of the Legends Trails series: 350 km non-stop through the Belgian Ardennes, run in wintertime over hard terrain. Cold, rain, wind and snow, combined with relentless climbs and huge amounts of mud, are part of the experience for around four days.
In general terms it means that only Legends Trails volunteers and other participants are allowed to offer you support on the course. Family, friends and outside crews cannot assist you. The FAQ page on the official site sets out the full rules.
No. The Legends Trail sets a completely new course each year, always in the Ardennes, which is excellent terrain for building a fresh 350 km route through forests and climbs.
The race HQ stays at College St. Roch in Bernardfagne. It offers a central location and a unique atmosphere for registration, briefings, and the gathering of runners and volunteers before, during and after the race.
Yes. The event works with Legends Tracking, which supplies lightweight but robust GPS devices that turn the race into a live experience for followers and give the race director an important safety and organisational tool.
