Hagetmau hosts the Semi de la Chalosse each December, with a full afternoon of racing that reaches from a half marathon down to the youngest age groups. Runners pick between the semi marathon, a 10 km road race, a timed 10 km walk and a 5 km course, while children aged 7 to 14 have races of their own. The event takes place in the Landes department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and gives local clubs and regional runners a late-season outing before the winter break. Distances run between 5 and 21 kilometres, so there is a start line for most abilities.

Other questions
The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 13 December 2026.
Yes. The 10 km Marche Chronométrée is a timed walking event over the same 10 kilometre distance, so walkers are timed and ranked just like the runners on the road course.
Mid-December in the Landes brings cool, often damp conditions, with temperatures typically in single figures and a real chance of rain. Layered clothing and a light waterproof are sensible for both the race and the wait before the start.
The organiser's own website carries the authoritative details for entries, start times and any last minute changes. Always confirm the arrangements there before travelling, since listing pages can lag behind.
