The Layrac Trail takes place in the village of Layrac, in the Lot-et-Garonne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-west France. It is a winter trail event held on Saturday 23 January 2027 and runners can pick between three distances of 18 km, 11 km and 6 km. The three courses carry local names, Le Prieuré for the longest, Le Brulhois for the middle distance and La Layracaise for the shortest, and they are open to runners of very different levels. Because the event falls in January, conditions in this part of France are typically cold and can be muddy underfoot. Full course information, start times and entry details come from the organiser's own website.

Other questions
The 6 km La Layracaise is the shortest option and the most sensible first trail outing. The 11 km Le Brulhois suits runners who already have some off-road experience, while the 18 km Le Prieuré is aimed at more experienced trail runners.
