Last Pirate Running is held in Volendam, on the shores of the Markermeer in Noord-Holland, on Sunday 1 November 2026. The programme is built around short kids' races of 550m, 800m and 1600m, a separate teen run, and two timed challenges of three and six hours, so young runners and endurance runners share the same event day. Entries are handled through inschrijven.nl, and the organiser Running Pirates publishes the latest details on their own website.

Other questions
These are timed events rather than fixed-distance races. You run for the allotted three or six hours and cover as much ground as you can before the clock stops.
Switching between the two timed challenges is not described on the listing page. Contact the organiser through the Running Pirates website, since entries for the different challenges are usually handled separately.
Bag storage is not mentioned on the listing page. As a general rule, arrive ready to run and keep valuables with you or with a supporter until the organiser confirms whether a bag drop is provided.
Spectators are a normal part of a town event like this, and the short kids' races in particular are easy to follow from the sidelines. Confirm the exact venue with the organiser so your supporters know where to stand.
November in Noord-Holland can bring wind and rain, and no weather policy is published for this event. Keep an eye on the Running Pirates website in the days before the race, as organisers sometimes change timings or cancel on the morning of the event.
