La Mezza del Garda is run on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda, starting from the lakeside town of Garda in the province of Verona. The programme offers a 21 km half marathon and a 10 km competitive race, with a 5 km non-competitive run open to all. The half marathon goes off at 09:00 and the two shorter races follow at 09:05. Held on the last Sunday of January, the day has the cool, quiet feel of a winter race on the lake.
