Kumamoto Castle Marathon 2027 (Kanaguri Memorial 69th Kumamoto Nichi 30km Road Race)

Hanabata Hiroba (Kumamoto Machinaka Hiroba) is the registration venue. Bring your ID, entry confirmation, and any required documents. You will pick up your bib and timing chip, and may be able to check baggage if the event provides storage. Arrive early to avoid long queues, then follow staff directions to the start at Toricho-suji.

The finish is on city roads in front of Bipuresu Kumamoto Nichi Kaikan. After crossing the line, keep moving through the finish chute, collect water and any medal or finisher item if provided, and return your timing chip if required. Follow staff instructions for exit routes and baggage collection. Arrange a meeting point with friends away from the immediate finish area.

If you feel unwell, stop and seek medical help at the nearest aid station. If you miss the 10:58 cutoff at 28.3km, you must stop; officials may ask you to leave the course or take a sweep vehicle. Do not continue unofficially. Plan your pace so you reach 28.3km well before the cutoff, and adjust your effort if conditions are cold or windy.

Fly into Kumamoto Airport (KMJ) or take the Shinkansen to Kumamoto Station. From there, use the tram, local bus, or taxi to reach Hanabata Hiroba and Toricho-suji. Stay near the start/finish or along the tram line for easy race-morning access. Book accommodation early because the event honours Kanaguri Shiso and attracts many runners and visitors.
