Other questions
Yes, until 10 days before the event, provided places are still available in the other race. There is no refund if you move to a cheaper race.
The course is entirely on trail, with single track, forest paths and open mountain terrain, so trail running shoes are strongly recommended. Many runners will also want a light waterproof layer given the coastal December weather.
Entry includes a pre-race meal and a post-race meal, and massage is available after you finish. Runners should still carry their own water container of at least 500 ml, as required by the event's equipment rules.
Yes. The start and finish at Praia de Quiaios make an easy base, and the Cabo Mondego Lighthouse and the sea-view points above the beach are popular spots to watch runners go through. Toilets, showers and parking are available at the venue.
Both. The 22 km Sky Race is tagged as national skyrunning and attracts competitive mountain runners, while the 13 km Mini Sky Race and the general atmosphere of the day are built around fun. The event is run on a nonprofit basis with a field of between 100 and 999 runners.
