Runners complete one 4.167 mile yard every hour, on the hour, from the Great Barn at Great Farthingloe Farm, until only one last person standing remains to complete a final solo yard. The loop is run in winter on exposed ground above Farthingloe Valley, so anyone still going after dark spends much of the night on muddy, windswept coastal trails.

Other questions
Everyone runs the same 4.167 mile yard, starting on the hour, every hour. You have one hour to complete the yard and be back at the Great Barn for the next start. Anyone who fails to make the start, or who does not finish, is out, and the event continues until one last person standing completes a final solo yard.
It is a parallel option that uses the same 4.167 mile yard and the same hourly format, but runs for seven hours with no elimination. It is limited to 15 places, so it sells out quickly.
No. The event is self supported and cupless, so you carry your own food and drink and there is no cup supply at base camp. Boiling water and microwave access are available in the Great Barn between yards.
Campervans are permitted in designated areas at the farm. Outside camping and any temporary external shelters are not allowed, so bring a van rather than a tent.
Base camp is indoors in the Great Barn and has indoor toilets, boiling water, microwave access and on-site medical cover. Crew and supporters can shelter there between laps.
