The Nightmare on Main 5K is the Halloween night fixture of the Kennesaw Grand Prix Race Series and takes place on the streets of downtown Kennesaw, Georgia. Costumes are part of the deal, so runners can sprint for a personal best or shuffle along like a zombie with equal welcome. The evening also includes a 1 mile race and a Tot Trot for the youngest runners, giving the whole family a distance to take on. Racing starts and finishes in the heart of town on a closed-road course that suits every pace.

Yes. The race is held on Halloween, Saturday 31 October 2026, and it is billed as a night-time event through the heart of Kennesaw. Exact start times for each distance were still to be confirmed, so check back closer to race day for the final schedule.
No, costumes are optional. The organisers encourage runners to get into the Halloween spirit and dress up, but you are just as welcome in ordinary running kit. Whatever you wear, make sure you can move safely and see clearly on the course.
