Thessaloniki's night half marathon takes over Greece's second city after dark, starting on 26th October Street before threading along Dendropotamou Street, through the port estate and onto the seafront. The half marathon, 10K and 5K all finish on Nikis Avenue at Aristotelous Square, with a one mile family race opening the programme. The evening runs from the family mile at 17:00 through the 5K at 17:10 and the 10K at 18:40 to the half marathon at 19:30, by which point the streets are lit and lined with spectators. Everything is on flat, paved road, so the racing stays fast and the atmosphere does most of the work.

Distance changes are handled by the organiser rather than automatically on the listing. Runners usually need to contact the entry team before the entry deadline, and any difference in fee is settled at that point.
Small corrections such as a misspelled name, an updated email address or a changed club are normally handled by the entry team on request. Contact the organiser with your registration reference as soon as possible, since later changes can be harder to apply once race numbers are printed.
Aim to be at the start area at least an hour before your gun time. Road closures around the port and the city centre build up through the afternoon, so the earlier races at 17:00 and 17:10 need an especially prompt arrival.
Yes, the half marathon gains only around 36 m over 21.1 km, all of it on paved city roads. Runners describe it as a fast track, and the main challenge is managing the evening start, the fading light and the number of turnarounds.
The finish at Aristotelous Square and the stretch along Nikis Avenue draw good crowds and are the easiest places to watch. The 26th October Street corridor also offers plenty of pavement space, and because the course doubles back on itself you can often see runners more than once.
