The Indigo Coast Marathon brings four road races to the Mediterranean coast around Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and the Cabanes de Fleury. Runners cover rolling tarmac past vineyards, white sand beaches, a river mouth and stretches of preserved wilderness, with the marathon climbing only around 150 m in total and threading through the authentic fishing port of the Cabanes de Fleury. Every race starts and finishes on the seafront at Saint-Pierre-la-Mer, except the half marathon, which sets off from the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Liesse. Aid stations appear every 2.5 km on the marathon and half marathon, brass bands play along the route, and Kenyan athletes line up at the front of the marathon field. The distances are officially measured and checked by French Athletics Federation officials, and Yohan Durand, a French international, is the patron of the event.

Other questions
Yes, the distances are official and are checked by judges of the French Athletics Federation.
No. The courses are relatively rolling, with only about 150 m of positive elevation on the marathon, which makes the event suitable for first-timers and for fast times alike.
Festive bandas play at points along the routes, giving the day a friendly feel that blends competitive sport with a strong community spirit.
Côte Indigo, the local sports organisation that has run two well-known triathlons in the area for more than 30 years, launched this marathon as its own event, with French international athlete Yohan Durand as patron.
