The race is held in Huellelhue, in the Los Ríos Region of southern Chile. The area sits among the lakes and forested hills of the Chilean lake district, so expect mountain trail underfoot and changeable weather.
Three distances are offered: 8 km, 15 km and 32 km. The 32 km is the flagship race and the one used for ITRA ranking and finisher level purposes.
No. Participation for the 32K is solo, so each runner covers the full course alone and must be self-sufficient between aid stations.
Mid-October is spring in southern Chile, with mild days and cool mornings, plus a real chance of rain and wind. Conditions on the higher parts of the course can differ from the valley, so pack a light waterproof layer regardless of the forecast.
