The Halloween Spooktacular sends runners around a 3.6 mile loop at Coastal Peak Park in Newport Coast, climbing roughly 585 feet each lap through a vibrant coastal sage scrub landscape and dipping riparian canyons lined with native oak and sycamore. Steep climbs, winding switchbacks and ghoulish singletrack fill the route, so runners earn their Halloween candy. The run starts at 7:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2026, with free parking available on site for participants. The event is also a participating race in the Southern California UltraRunner's Grand Prix Series.
