The Guy Fawkes 10 starts and finishes at Pateley Bridge Showground and covers a hilly ten-mile loop through Nidderdale that is almost entirely on road. Runners pass through the village of Bewerley, head out towards Glasshouses and then follow a short farm track on the south side of the River Nidd towards Darce Banks. From there the climbing begins in earnest on the way up to Dacre, with the roads around Heyshaw and Nought Moor to follow, before a fast descent back into Bewerley and one final cheeky climb to the finish. Two drinks stations sit on the route at roughly 3.5 and 7.5 miles, further drinks are provided at the finish, and qualified first aid cover is on hand both at race HQ and out on the course.

No. Running under somebody else's number is reckless and dangerous, presents a health risk to participants and creates problems for organisers and medical support crews. Anyone doing so will be disqualified.
