Other questions
The meeting point is outside the Castle Inn in Lydford. The organisers confirm the exact meeting time in the week before the event, so check your entry details.
The roughly six mile route mixes paths, open moorland and trails. It heads east along the paths, crosses the main road, continues onto the west side of the moor and then returns to the start.
It is a social, guided pace rather than a training run or a race. The group stays together and nobody is expected to run hard.
Paths and open moorland can be muddy and uneven after wet weather in early November, so trail shoes with decent grip are a sensible choice even though the pace is relaxed.
Beyond a head torch, bring a light waterproof layer and something to drink, as the run is on open moorland in November and the weather can change quickly after dark.
