The GP da Mendiga is held in the village of Mendiga, in the Leiria district of central Portugal, on Sunday 29 November 2026. Entrants choose between three road distances, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km, while a separate non-competitive walk and a full set of youth races for the youngest age groups run alongside them. It is a village Grand Prix in the Portuguese tradition, with the start and finish in Mendiga and the surrounding roads given over to runners for the morning. Exact start times, entry fees and course maps are published on the organiser's registration page as race day approaches.

Other questions
The event is scheduled for Sunday 29 November 2026. It is a single morning of racing in the village, so everything takes place on that one day.
Yes. A Caminhada, a non-competitive walk, runs alongside the races and is open to anyone who would rather cover the course at walking pace.
Late November in central Portugal is typically mild but unsettled, with a real chance of rain and cool mornings. A light waterproof layer and a spare dry top for afterwards are sensible choices.
