Each team appoints a team manager, who enters the team through the Nifty entry system. The manager acts as the single point of contact for the team before and on race day.

The manager gathers every team member's name, contact details, emergency contact and medical information, and brings that list to registration on the day. A blank team information form is sent out before the event to make this straightforward.

The Miles race is the competitive side of the event over the marathon distance in five laps, while the Smiles run is the more social metric marathon over three laps, run in pairs in the trophy category and with half lap options allowed in the open category.

Only for the trophy categories. A Miles race trophy team must include at least two female runners, and a Smiles run trophy team must include at least one. The open Miles race and Smiles run have no composition requirement.

Yes. Teams should carry a visible baton or sash that is handed over at each changeover. There is a prize for the most creative baton, so teams often make their own.
