The Giro dei Due Colli is a winter trail running event based in Briga Novarese, a small town in the hills of Piedmont north of Novara. Runners pick between a 12 kilometre and a 19 kilometre route, both setting off on the same Sunday morning in mid January. The courses climb onto the trails of the two hills that give the race its name, mixing woodland paths with the open ground and village edges typical of this low corner of the Alps. Full route maps, start times, entry fees and any mandatory kit are published by the organiser closer to race day.

Other questions
It is a trail event. The routes head onto the paths of the two hills above Briga Novarese, so expect a mix of woodland trail, track and some tarmac through the town.
Grippy trail shoes are the sensible choice for a mid winter race on this ground, since paths can be damp, leaf covered or muddy. Bring a windproof layer for the start and finish area as mornings are cold.
Yes. The start and finish area in the town is easy for spectators to reach on foot, and the surrounding hills give a few vantage points along the route. Ask the organiser about the best spots on race morning.
The 12 kilometre route is the shorter of the two and suits runners stepping up from road events or trying trail for the first time. The 19 kilometre route is the longer test of the day.
