Generali Tranquilidade Half Marathon of Discoveries

The course leaves Praça do Império in Belém and heads west along Avenida da Índia to a turnaround at Algés before returning past the Torre de Belém and the Padrão dos Descobrimentos. From there it runs east along the Tagus waterfront through Cais do Sodré, the Museu do Fado and Santa Apolónia, then turns back through Terreiro do Paço, Rossio, the Elevador de Santa Justa and the Mercado da Ribeira. The whole route is a single loop on flat asphalt city streets, finishing at the Museu da Marinha in Belém. Alongside the half marathon the day offers a 10K, a 4K mini run and walk, and a 500m kids race, and the event carries a five-star rating from European Athletics as well as AIMS certification.
