Garten-Reden-Haldenlauf Event

Any change of race has to be agreed with the organiser before race day, as start lists and timing are prepared in advance. Contact the organisers through the details on their website and ask as early as possible.

The 10 km Nordic walking event is a separate category on the programme and start lists are kept apart from the running races. Check the organiser's website for whether it is scored and whether poles are provided or must be brought.

The courses are local and compact, so friends and family can usually walk between points on the route and see runners more than once. The start and finish area is the simplest place to wait.

The event is held outdoors in April, when Saarland weather can be changeable, so come prepared for rain or cold. Any decision to shorten, delay or cancel the race because of conditions rests with the organiser, who will communicate it to entrants.

Refreshment arrangements are not detailed on this page. Local village races of this kind usually have a finish area with drinks and light food, so it is worth confirming with the organiser if you have specific dietary needs.
