Fur Baby 5K & Mutt Mile is a dog-friendly running event held in Clearwater, Florida, where runners and their four-legged companions take on the course side by side. The day offers three ways to take part: the Furocious 5K, the one mile Mutt Mile, and the Double Paw Challenge, which combines both distances into a single morning of running. The atmosphere is built around the bond between runner and pet, with plenty of barking, tail wagging and shared celebration around the course. The event returns on 7 March 2026 and again on 27 March 2027 from the same Clearwater start point.

Other questions
The Double Paw Challenge is an entry that covers both distances on the same morning. You start with the Furocious 5K at 8:30 AM and then line up for the Mutt Mile at 9:30 AM, giving you two finishes and twice the time out on the course with your dog.
Yes. The Mutt Mile is a relaxed one mile route that suits walkers, joggers and first-time racers, while the Furocious 5K gives anyone who wants a longer effort a straightforward step up. Both are run in a friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere.
Friends and family are welcome to come along and cheer. The start and finish area at Keene Road is the easiest place to watch, and because the routes are short there is plenty of opportunity to see runners and their dogs pass by more than once.
