Other questions
Places are drawn by lottery rather than allocated first come first served. Separate draws are held for runners who were unsuccessful in all three of the previous editions (2023 to 2025), for residents of Fukuoka City and Itoshima City, and for runners with a disability. Runners who miss out in the consecutive-unsuccessful and citizens draws are automatically re-entered into the general draw.
Yes, group entry is available for the marathon and the fun run. One representative can submit up to ten entries in total including their own, and everyone submitted by the same representative is treated as a single group for the draw. Groups cannot be mixed across different races, and the disability category cannot be entered as a group.
Runners in the disability category must present their disability certificate (physical disability certificate, mental disability health and welfare certificate, or rehabilitation certificate) at reception. Runners in the registered division must have their JAAF registration details, including their JAAF ID, up to date in their RUNNET account by 14 July.
A free shuttle bus runs from the marathon finish area to JR Chikuzen-Maebaru Station. A paid shuttle bus also runs directly from the finish area to Tenjin and Hakata Station.
Costumes are not permitted in the marathon registered division.
