The Foulées Laubertines pour le Téléthon is a village road race held in Laubrières, in the Mayenne department of western France, on the first Sunday of December. The main event covers 10 kilometres on a single loop through the surrounding countryside, and the same distance can be run as a relay so that team-mates share the effort. Alongside the 10K, the afternoon brings a series of short races for minimes, benjamins, poussins and éveil athlétique age groups, which gives the day a strong local-club and family feel. The whole gathering is staged in aid of the Téléthon, France's national fundraising weekend for research into rare genetic diseases, so entries and donations go towards the cause.

The Téléthon is France's national fundraising weekend for research into rare genetic diseases. The Foulées Laubertines are staged in support of that effort, so taking part helps the cause as well as giving you a race.
Yes. The 10 km relay entry lets a small team split the course between them, which is a good option for clubs, work groups, families and anyone returning to racing.
This is a road race in a rural village setting, so expect tarmac and small country lanes rather than trails. Road running shoes are the sensible choice.
Yes. A village road race with a short circuit and a busy youth programme is easy to watch, and spectators can usually see runners at several points without needing to travel far between them.
