The Foulées Laubertines pour le Téléthon is a village road race held in Laubrières, in the Mayenne department of western France, on the first Sunday of December. The main event covers 10 kilometres on a single loop through the surrounding countryside, and the same distance can be run as a relay so that team-mates share the effort. Alongside the 10K, the afternoon brings a series of short races for minimes, benjamins, poussins and éveil athlétique age groups, which gives the day a strong local-club and family feel. The whole gathering is staged in aid of the Téléthon, France's national fundraising weekend for research into rare genetic diseases, so entries and donations go towards the cause.
