Terrain
The Foulées de Bayeux fill the streets of Bayeux, a medieval and historic town in Normandy's Calvados department, with a full afternoon of road racing. The programme runs from a measured 5 km and a 10 km up to a half marathon and a marathon, alongside about ten children's races for ages five and up. The half marathon is run over three loops with refreshments at kilometres 5, 10 and 15 and at the finish, while the 10 km uses two loops on a course the organisers describe as having no great difficulty. Both the half marathon and the 10 km carry the FFA regional label and serve as qualifiers for the French championships, and a share of every entry supports the integration of children with disabilities and medical research.
