Other questions
Fjellmaraton must adhere to the Norwegian Athletics Federation's regulations regarding licence fees for participation in exercise races. You can choose to purchase a full-year licence through the association, or purchase a one-time licence for the race. A licence is required until the participant reaches the age of 80.
The marathon and half marathon are run entirely on closed tarmac, so road shoes are the right choice there. The 10 km Mountain Goat is a true off-road race over mountain terrain, where extra grip is useful.
Yes. Drink stations and nutrition stations are included in the entry and are positioned along the course, with medical assistance also available.
Usually around 1,500 participants take advantage of the national park to complete a distance at the Norwegian Mountain Marathon.
