The Evosmos Cultural Run is a free community running event in the Nea Politeia district of Evosmos, western Thessaloniki, organised by the local residents' cultural and athletic association together with the Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos and its sports department. The children's race covers 1km on the tarmac streets around Gorgopotamou Street, where the start and finish line sit, with separate categories for boys and girls from the third to the sixth grade of primary school. Bib collection opens at 08:00 at the secretariat beside the start, the race goes off at 09:00 and the morning wraps up around noon. Every child who finishes receives a participation souvenir, the top three in each category take home medals, and volunteer first aiders plus an EKAB ambulance stand by on the course.

The race is organised by the Cultural and Athletic Association of Residents of Nea Politeia Evosmou together with the Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos and the Deputy Mayor's Office for Sports.
The same event includes a separate 1km Family Run, which is the suitable option for parents and children who want to run together.
