The Eurosport LRC 10k starts and finishes near the chapel of San Niklaw and runs on a mix of an old disused airfield, country roads and quiet lanes inside the boundaries of Siġġiewi. Much of the route follows sections of the historic Malta Marathon course, so the running is on sealed road with wide pastoral views across the island. It is a competitive 10k that still suits runners of different abilities, and the early 07:00 start makes the most of the cooler Maltese morning. The race is a fixture on Malta's running calendar, and its setting close to Mdina means a weekend here pairs easily with exploring the island's medieval streets and history.
