Ekebergsletta parkrun is a free, timed 5 kilometre run held on Saturday mornings on the open ground of Ekebergsletta in Oslo. Participants set off together and follow a marked course around the parkland, with volunteer timekeepers and barcode scanners recording every finish. Runners and walkers of all paces take part side by side, and the event goes ahead in rain, snow or sunshine. As with every parkrun, anyone can turn up and join in, and a personal barcode is all that is needed to get an official time.
